Thoughts on Technology

Such a wonderful and frustrating thing!

One of my favorite things to do is go to the NETA conference every April in Omaha.  Getting out of the building, learning about technology, going out to lunch, networking with peers...it's all good.  Until, I get back to my building/district and realize that many of the cool technological things that I learned about, I am unable to use because of red tape and policy.  Things like the inability of having students subscribe to use a site, an age limit, etc.  It seems as though our hands are tied and many of the enriching sites that would allow students to demonstrate creativity go unused...at least at our elementary building.
